I still watch this show, but I can't help but feel like it peaked in season 2. Maybe because I feel like the premise of this show wasn't meant to last this long. In most cases I feel like the 5th season of a show is a perfect time to wrap everything up leaving for a satisfying conclusion. The problem is that by the 5th season of a show, the popularity is usually at its highest point. When in most cases its only natural to continue the show forward until the popularity dies out. I say that because I don't want to see that happen to this show. If the next season isn't the finally, I don't know if I will be able to continue watching it forward.
As for season 5, I thought it was by far the most safest season yet. Sometimes that can be good but in this case it left me actually getting bored around the midpoint. I think that it can be both a positive and a negative for my overall thoughts to the season. Thinking back I can't really remember anything from this season that was memorable. Something that all previous season had, even if it was just one moment that defined the season.
I guess I could some up this season as the "cutting loose ends" season. With the majority of the season focusing on the election and the second half removing all traces of the corruptness that still wasn't tied up. Leading to an ending that I'm not so sure leaves me excited to see what happens next. In many ways I was looking forward to see when everything comes crashing down for all the actions the Underwoods have made in the past. The way events turn out though, it looks like it might be all a slap on the wrist, for the most part.
I'm still going to stick with this show for at least one more season. But I can't say that I am all that excited for it like I was with this season. If anything i would like to see more things at stake or at least portray it that way. We will have to wait and see.

Daredevil is the first to what I think will be many to come, Marvel TV shows to be put onto Netflix. That is not a bad thing though, because Daredevil is the best show to come out of the cinematic universe Marvel has created. There are a lot of good things about this first season from the action, the character and the fact that is on Neflix which is a much better format to regular network television.
The action in Daredevil is some of the best I've seen for television and is even able to stand against feature films. What I like is how is doesn't over do it either, every fight scene feels nature and furthers the story along nicely. As for the choreography, its more grounded and downplayed but that just makes it more believable and realistic. It is nice to see something that not so flashy and overdone or is shot with shaky cam.
All characters in the show are memorable and all have something important to the plot. It never feels like a character was wasted and handles the handful of characters well. Personally I do appreciate that the show didn't add a big name actor or someone from the Marvel movies. Because the majority of the cast was unknown to me, it made it easier for me to really see every as character and have them stand on their own.
Now what I also like was how everyone ended up having some sort of arc through out the season. Not one personal is static which is nice to see. Also because this is a introduction to a new superhero, they end up handling the origin story of the character very well. Instead of spending the entire first episode or full episode in general telling the origin, they spread it out throughout the season telling the part of the story that can follow through in the present.
Like I said before this is the first Netflix show by Marvel and unlike the shows that appear on network TV this is already finished by the release of the show. There was 13 episode, and they make of the most out of them by giving everyone more character and depth. I personally would've like it to be only around the 8 - 10 mark, but I can't complain that much for getting more episodes.
Overall, Daredevil is easily the best thing that Marvel has put out, both in movies and television. It the best thing about it is that it stands on its own, and makes enough references for you to know that this is connected to the larger cinematic universe. This is what expands it and makes everything feel a lot larger. This is the best Superhero television show to be released in this new generation of superhero stories and if you haven't checked it out, you should.

Marvel is looking to expand their already 'massive universe' they created by prepping a new collection of content for cable and VOD services. Deadline is reporting that Marvel is creating several new shows based on their properties to take play on possibly Netflix as on massive 60-episode package. The content will be made up of four series, with 13 episodes each and on mini series with less episodes. This is definite a lot of content that Marvel is releasing with an already built-in audience.
As of right now, Marvel has not said anything on the story right now, and in terms of what new properties the shows will be about is a mystery as well. The already rumored Agent Carter spin off could be one of these series, but right now anything can be possible. One thing for sure, Marvel is definitely ahead of its competitors in film and now already in television with their release of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I am curious to see what new properties that are in the works for Marvels. I hope they could also find a way to start incorporating the new characters into the movies as well.
What do you guys think?
