Arnold Schwarzenegger to play villain for 'Avatar 2'
Earlier this year it was announced that the next installment of Avatar will come with a few sequels, following each other in releases from 2016 to 2018. It was also announced who the screenwriters of the next films will be for each film as well. Now in terms of story, not much is known other than it will follow the events of the previous film and possibly take place underwater.
James Cameron told MTV NEWS
Now interms of being a bad guy, the villian in this film is rumored to be a human general and is also rumored to be played by someone who James Cameron has worked with in the past, Arnold Schwarzenegger.“It would be a continuation of their story and I expect that those nasty humans didn’t go away forever: ‘Oh, well that didn’t work!’ ” he said.
Arnold gave a small clue about working again with Cameron and told MTV Movies Blog
I am becoming more interested in what the next Avatars films will do now with the casting. What do you think of these two teaming up again?“Movie-wise, he’s tied up with his next two movies, but hopefully, there’s something down the line when he’s finished with that,” Schwarzenegger said. “I always look forward to working with him because Cameron is a very talented director.
