Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation Blu-Ray Releases
Mission Impossible Rogue Nation is one of the best action movies of the year and is finally released on Blu-ray!
The film follows Ethan and his team as they take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate - an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.
The video quality of this movie is fantastic, I really like how McQuarrie's cinematography in his films have a gritty grainy look to it. It gives it a grounded feel that helps with the espionage style that the film has.
This film also has one of the best Motorcycle chase scenes that I've seen in any film. The big set piece are amazing to look at and the fact that almost all the stunts are done practically is quite an achievement. Along with the video, the audio quality is great. For those who have dolby atmos set up in their home theater, this is one of the few new releases that has it built in. All the audio compliments the film with delivering a great experience that will keep your attention through out the entire movie.
In the special features you can find a Audio Commentary that has Tom Cruise and Director Christopher McQuarrie talking about the film and stories from on set and all things related. Others include the involvement of the directer and even Tom Cruise on how the process of this film is made. Also including all the behind the scenes for how the big action set pieces were made. Its not the most special features I've seen but it gives you everything you want to see in the film.
For those who want the Mission Impossible collection or have yet to watch one of the films, the 5 movie collection is a good deal and worth checking out.
