Bates Motel Season 3 Episode 1 A Death in the Family Review
Episode: A Death in the Family
Season 3 of Bates Hotel is off to a great start. Picking up relatively after a view months from where season 2 left off. Norman is going back to school again for his senior year of high school.
But because of the guilt, he can't seem to really function being at school without thinking of his teacher. This ultimately leads to Norman being home schooled for his Senior year which I think will play into how this season turns out. Especially now that he will be closer to Norma more than ever now as well as working in the motel full time from now on.
We also focus on Dylan who is trying to figure out what to do now that the business he was running is now ruining. He does discuss it with Romero about how he wants to stay on the legal side of things from now on but we do get the feeling that not what Romero wants. Seeing how he gives him a small plan on getting the business back up and running.
Dylan later runs into his father who wants to give him money that he received from his mothers death. Dylan wants nothing to do with him, but as the episode progress, we see that they might just end up getting closer as the episodes go on.
Finally Norman and Emma start going out, even though it is a bit random when it happens seeing how Norman for the most part never cared about Emma that way. I think it is just set up for more tension in the future.
I am looking forward to seeing how this season plays out especially with the situations that were set up in this first episode. The series continues to get better and better and I already can't wait to see what happens in the next episode.
