Sabine Vs Mandalorians! In this week's episode of Rebels.

The Empire is making it harder for the rebels to travel around the outer rim. Sabine has an idea of using a Mandalorian route to evade the empire and not get caught. Rex thinks it is dangerous because even the Empire knows not to mess with them! The Protectors were a group separate from the Mandalorians that even fought with other Mandalorians in the past. They made their own rules and didn't go by the rest of the group. Hera comes up with a idea to team up with them to become allies of the rebellion because any strong enemy of the Empire is a strong allie to them.

They make their way to the planet Concord Dawn but are quickly cut off by unknown ships. It turns out these Protectors are with the Empire and begins the space battle. Hera out maneuvers them while the rest of the squad try and escape. She distracts them to get them to focus their power of her so the rest of the squad can jump to light speed. Hera's ship makes it back to light speed but she is badly injured. She will make it but the injuries will leave her out of commission for a while. Sabine takes this personally and even takes the blame for the Hera's injuries.

The danger of this mission has gone to a new level and Kanon decides to take this mission on his own but Sabine doesn't want him to go alone, she sneaks onto his ship. They both land on the planet and find the base. There are eight ships spread out throughout the base in case they need to explode them. The Empire is paying the Mandalorians and even want them to contact them if they see more Rebels.

Sabine is still set out on revenge but Kanon believes he can still change them to get them on their side. Kanon approaches the Mandalorian and tells him the story about the Battle of Mygeeto and how he knows him from that. He wants to negotiate a deal for how he saved him that day. Sabine plants the charges throughout all the ships but while planting she is discover by the Mandalorians.

She tells them that she is apart of House Ren, a traitor family from these Mandalorians and a possible reference to The Force Awakens?

Sabine calls out Fenn Rau to get revenge on what he did to Hera. Kanon tries talking them out of it, but doesn't get through to them. Sabine shoots Fenn Rau 's gun and destroys all their ships. They take cover inside the dining area and make a plan to go after Fenn Rau 's because his is the only ship left in the base. Kanon jumps on his ship after taking off and takes off one of his wings. He kidnaps Fenn Rau and takes him aboard his own ship.

He grants them access for the Rebels to go through the passage & Hera wakes up and is glad to hear of their success ending the episode on a happy note.

This episode got pretty intense at moments especially the beginning. When Hera's ship got damaged and she was the only that didn't go though hyper space, I legitimately thought they might have killed her off! Even afterward when it was clear that Sabine wanted Revenge the episode did point to her making the wrong choice and possible killing them for what they did to Hera and the rest of the squad.

I am glad to see the Mandalorians now introduced into Rebels because now they are expanding into the universe and some of the old canon universe. Even nice seeing more little hints of Sabine's backstory that I feel will continued to be explored as time goes on. This was a great episode and I am looking forward to the next one!

The Empire attack the Rebel Fleet on Garel, Kanan and Ezra return to Lothal and find a former prisoner with knowledge about Ezra's parents.

Ezra has a vision about his parents and where they just might be as well as a glimpse into the future. This is something that a Jedi goes through at some point in time I am just surprised that it is happening to Ezra this soon. He tells Kanon and Hera about the vision and tells them how real it felt and they decide to tell him something that Zebo told them. They know that his parents were taken to an Empire prison but no one has been able to find them.

Agent Kallus teams up with the Inquisitors to go find the Rebel Fleet and Ghost Group on Lothal.

Ezra uses the force to find his parents on a list and uses it to try to locate his parents. He is hasty to go and find them while Zeb and Chopper are out getting supplies. Just as the gang are ready to leave Star Destroyers fill the sky as the Empire is ready to make a new attack.

Kanon and Ezra go to help Zeb so they can escape together, Agent Kallus pins them down so they can't escape. Ezra decides to take on Kallus all by himself using the force and them down. The Inquisitors show up and challenge Ezra and he tries to take them on by himself because he is so worked up. Luckily Kanon blasts the door and closes it before they get through, they head for the ship so they can escape.

The Empire decides to use tractor beams to prevent their ship from escaping the atmosphere and even sends Tie-Fighters after them. The Rebel Fleet are scrambled and Hera has Kanon and Ezra leave the fleet so they have a chance to find Ezra's parents. The Empire focuses on the command ship with the tractor beam and Sabine comes up with a plan to send torpedoes that will hit the ship so they won't get captured. While at the same time taking on two Tie-Fighters.

The Fleet stay together and even use Light Speed to escape. Meanwhile Kanon and Ezra arrive at Lothal and when they get there it is very quiet and empty. The Empire destroyed a lot of the city and a lot of the evidence of his parents too. He uses the force to focus on what he should look for and finds a Loth cat that was in his vision. He plants a tracker on it and follows it to an empty area where a sniper begins to shoot at him.

The sniper turns out to be a former prisoner who knew his parents and even knows that they died. His parents died after helping other rebellion sympathizers escape the prison and Ezra's messages help motivate them to escape. Ezra remembers what his home used to look like and even what his parents were like as they remind him to be strong as the empire shows up.

This was definitely a more real down to earth episode, with the death and even differences of Ezra's parents have real emotion behind it. I noticed how we go a hint of the anger that Ezra has in him and even how he was able to take on Kallus and even the Inquisitors if it weren't for Kanon to prevent him from going to the Dark Side. Either way it is going to be interesting seeing where this will go in the future. I think that next week will be the mid-season finale of Season 2 and I can't wait to see what will happen.

The Start of the Rebellion

The first season of rebels was really focused on the main characters, and for a show called rebels, there weren't that much of a rebel alliance in the show. There were off comments about other factions and even running into some people who will be an asset in the future there wasn't much focus on the rebellion at all.

Now we have most recently been introduced to key players in the rebellion including the return of Asoka Tana, but we need a sense of united work going on.

Where Are We Going?

Other than the finale and certain special episode the majority of the time everything going on was either random or just stumbled upon.

Its fine to have filler episode and character building episode, but the overall story should have a goal or a sense of destination.

This kinda goes back to my first point of there being the start of the rebellion, the best shows ever made always had a goal and when there isn't a goal in mind, you end up overstaying your welcome.

Closing off Connection with The Clone Wars (wrapping up their story)

Now we all know that The Clone Wars Series was cut short when Disney bought Star Wars and some of those characters have come aboard Rebels, but it is time to start wrapping up their stories so we won't be held back.

Yes that includes the newly returning characters coming up in season 2 as well as the ones in season 1 and other characters who didn't get a proper send off from The Clone Wars.

Its not that they are bad or anything but if we are going to get closer and closer to the original trilogy you have to start transferring over and its better to give these characters a good send off than to leave them left of mystery.

Explanation of what the Inquisitors Are?

There are a lot of mystery on who or what inquisitors are and if there is even more than just one. At the moment we don't know if there are more out there or if even the one we know is still alive in some way shape or form.

Season 2 would be a great opportunity to dive into the mystery of the character and the status of what is an Inquisitor.

New worlds

Star Wars has always had great worlds and because this is a television show, I would like to see them expand to more new worlds mostly because they aren't constricted to the worlds shown in the films.

Going Down Their Own Path

Because the characters aren't involved at all in the original trilogy, It would be smart to take them in their own direction not connected with those films.

Of course you can have them involved with the beginning of the rebellion but once the more they do get involved the more questions will arise.
