Han Solo A Star Wars Story To Begin Production In January 2017

 

Lawrence Kasdan, screenwriter for the upcoming Han Solo anthology film as well as the writer for the most Star Wars movies to date, has given some info about the film specifically about when they will be shooting.

Speaking with Atlanta Business Chronicle, Kasdan said this:

"Oh, I think so! You know, Chris Miller and Phil Lord are going to direct it. They’re great, funny and imaginative and we’ve had a great time together. My son [Jon] and I wrote the script and Chris and Phil are working on it and they’re about to move to London to start shooting in January. And it should be fun."

I really don't expect to see anything more concrete until Star Wars Celebration in July. We've only gotten casting announcements such as Alden Ehrenreich who will be playing Han Solo. Until then, Rogue One is just months away from release.

The movie is set to release on May 25, 2018 and will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller from a script by Lawrence Kasdan and his son, Jon.
