If there is one thing that I look forward to seeing in a James Bond film its the visual style of the films. Skyfall was by far the best looking bond film to date, with bringing in a much colder and sleeker look to the film. In Spectre it continues that trend in being sleeker and cool but giving it a much more warmer tone to the movie and even being shot on film rather than digital. I really like the look of the movie and it compliments the very cool action scenes.

The movies plot is strangely a little familiar to this years Mission Impossible film, which could just be from the way modern movies are. I liked how the film tied in all the other Craig-Bond films making it feel like this is the big climax of this story arc. Unfortunately the movie doesn't go there and feels like this is only a part 1 or possibly 2 in the finally. Not every franchise needs a big grand climax, but if that's the case its better not to build the film up that way.

I think the biggest problem this movie has is having a week script. There are two plots going on and while they intertwine with each other, they feel very disjointed from one another. I also think the villains of the were written not very good especially in the dialogue.

On the opposite side, this movie is directed much stronger. From the acting to the visual style to the action scenes this movie feels like it has quality. Just from the editing and the camera shots you can see that this is better than other Bond films. This is once again the biggest thing that I've taken from these modern James Bond films and I am looking forward to how future films will be presented.

Spectre is a good time at the movies, if you can let the movie stand on it own. Compared to the other Craig-Bond films it sits in the middle. If you can look past some of the odd continuity problems with the film, you can really have fun with it.
