Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Lost Tower (2010) Movie Review

This is one of the few Naruto movies that I wished they had taken more of a chance on making a bigger movie than what it was.

The film starts as Team 7 are about to capture an enemy from the mission they are on. When suddenly the villain finds a way to transport through a portal to escape. But then Naruto is sucked into the portal as well and it then taken back in time to about 20+ years since that moment. At first he doesn't know it but he tries chasing after a girl to find out where he is. He gets in a scuffle with puppets that protect her and he is ultimately saved by the future fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and other semi-famililar faces on the same team.

At the moment they let him go because they are from the same village. When Naruto rescues that same girl from falling he finds out that she is the queen in the city he is lost in, Sāra. He also regroups with the team from the leaf village and they let him know that they are there too to protect her and stop the villain of the story who is secretly controlling the city.

The rest of the movie is pretty straight forward with the main villain trying to capture the queen and stop Naruto and the rest. Its entertaining for the most part but does get pretty uninteresting.  No real special fight scenes until the end and it doesn't go as big as what it could've gone to.
